The Sweet life. The good life.
I'm a fan of taking time off routines. Schedules and familiarity are enemies to my creativity. Instead of going straight to college for a third straight year, I've decided to go home to India to rest, re focus and... have fun. A process best referred to as seeking fuller expression to life.
Individuals owe it to themselves to ask the question: How can I seek a fuller expression to life? Balance is not about keeping things on an even keel. There are seasons of busy, followed by seasons of sweet rest and life happens on the spectrum somewhere in between. I used to believe that I could do it all, juggle the busy, slot in quiet moments, schedule social events and keep progressing with my dreams. All at the same time. The danger with that approach is nothing gets done well. I might be busy, but not productive. Restless in my resting. Jumping to the clicks of the clock.
It's necessary, slowing down the frantic pace of our age. Bigger, faster and efficient isn't always ideal. We could learn something from the Italians, live a little, enjoy the good life.
