What the rain won't wash away

Sheets of rain bucket down, incessant showers. I drove through a road flanked by moisture-laden trees, leaves gravitating towards the ground under the weight of tear drops. Stuck in a traffic jam again, this time, I let the windows fog and peer through the misty glass. It magnifies your melancholic mood - the rain does. Sunshine has the same affect on a happy state of mind.

Shapes appear to move, not faces, random people dealing with the rain in their own determined way. As I watched lives carry on, despite the heavy water pounding, a few miles away, in either direction, people lost family, friends and neighbors in several blasts. Every life lost is another strong reminder for us to love those left.
