It takes three weeks to form a habit. Three weeks ago, I set down my 'rules sheet'. A list of Do's and Don't. I faithfully stuck to most of the do goals. The list included abstinence from the things that deter my spiritual growth and also my basic addictions - junk food, TV (except sport, couldn't give that up), shopping and chocolate (shock! Horror!)
The first day, I accidentally ordered a hot chocolate. The second, I read an article on how cocoa elevates the mood, while scoffing down brownies. The third, someone baked me a cake...
I've decided to accept my chocolate addiction as a strength. Now, when I have to explain the perpetual smile on my face, I can blame it on the brownies ;)
