Lunch hours at Uni were never boring!

I love Spring in Melbourne, its my favourite season and as we used to say, It brings out all the gorgeous ppl on campus. I just got off a shift at the Info Centre and was walking to the Library. As I was passing through the doors of the Union building, a girl walked in and just stopped in front of me. I knew she was about to say something, but kept walking, she ran after me:

Girl: Hey, are you Mary's brother?
Me: half puzzled look, Yeah, do I know you?
I get this a lot, so sometimes I play along.

Girl: We went to High School together, remember I used to say you remind me so much of my brother.
She was a white girl, her brother probably looked nothing like me

Me: Really? What - that was your pickup line in High School?
Girl: Actually, yeah, I had a crush on you and I think I said some stupid things...
This is where I thought it was best to come clean

Me: I was kidding, I grew up and went to school in India and I don't know anyone called Mary. You got the wrong guy, have a good day. Walking away
Girl: Looking at the Prague Roll in my hand, Do you want to join me and my friends for lunch?
Me: Hmmm.... Guess it wouldn't hurt, she is cute, Yeah, alright.

Girl leads me to the lawns, we join her group of five female friends. After the initial round of introductions and some banter, one of her friends asks if I was single. I was. Ok, she pulls out a picture of her childhood pal and says, This is my best friend, she's Indian and is looking for an Indian groom. I literally did a double-take. The girl in the picture was the Manager at the Coles close to my place and I saw her almost every day! Apparently she was Punjabi, very pretty and her parents were gonna marry her off to some loser, unless she found herself a nice Indian boy!!! That explained a few things, like the extra attention I got while shopping for groceries at Coles.

Me: She's really hot, but not my type.
Girl: Am I your type?
Me: Sorry, I don't date women who think I'm like their brother

At this point, one of the friends started talking about female strippers and they all agreed to go to a place called Crazy Horse after lunch, for $2 peep-shows.

Girl: You should come with us, these women are hot.
Me: Something about this group is very disturbing. I got a class in 5, gotta rush, was really nice meeting you all.

I never saw them again after that. Turns out, the girl who was hitting on me was actually Mary! Are you Mary's brother was the only thing she could think of saying to get my attention.
I've had weirder things happen to me, so this was a not so non-typical afternoon in jb's crazy University life.
