In two months, I will be on a plane heading north-west from Sydney. During my four-month break, I hope to collect unforgettable memories, meet unforgettable people and celebrate highly anticipated milestones.Three weddings. Close friends from three different phases of my life. If they had known each other, they would recognize the pattern in their struggle to reach this point. We used to be
good time charlies, enjoying the best life had to offer without much concern for consequence or responsibility. Our priorities now are different, our conversations have a distinct grown-up edge, respecting the freedom and limitations of men in their late twenties.
Through trial and error, we have shaped stronger principles, built healthier relationships and reached the age at which a man is expected to know what to do with the rest of his life. We are still
strictly good time charlies, but our idea of a good time has changed in the blink of a few years.
