Decisions are like keys. You're usually presented with two, sometimes more and you have to pick one and open a door. It may lead to a comfortable space or another door with another set of keys. It's like a labyrinth with multiple exits. You will get out eventually, but the keys you choose pick the life you live.
In the past, I'd approach doors with trepidation, wondering about the locked doors behind me. Where did they lead, could I back track and explore those possibilities if the current space was non-satisfactory? Some decisions were so difficult to make that I chose the passive path of not deciding. Those are the ones that came back to bite the hardest.
The best instructions to handle situations are gleaned from situations past. History does have a pattern and studying the past can help to indicate future outcomes. But that may not always be the case. So, in these exceptions, some decisions have to be made on the spur. Open key, slip in the door and move forward without regret.
The walls that constrict us, with no way out are usually imaginary. Open your eyes to see the expanse and not the restrictions of self-inflicted boundaries. It's time to break some walls.
