*With serious sarcastic undertones*
I'm having a party on the 4th of March. I'm following the code of proper party-etiquette by letting ppl know in advance. Every body I've invited so far has first asked me, "What's the occasion?". Hold! I don't care - you're bringing a gift anyway!
Folks in Hyderabad don't generally plan their weekends in advance - call them up on Saturday morning, "Party, my place, tonight" and they'll all probably rock up. Call them a week and a half in advance and they would have forgotten a few days later!
I was recently reading an article for young business professionals - Why do you need a Secretary? Can I justify 'party-planning' as a valid excuse? Its difficult when you get, "Oh, I'll have to see" as an RSVP!
The other question I get asked is, "What's gonna be special about this party?". "Duh! apart from the obvious, I'm flying in male strippers from Mumbai".....
*standing ovation from my female and gay friends*, the rest of us straight guys will be too busy discussing the ramifications of American intervention in Iraq, the new Government in Palestine and the meteoric ascent of the Chinese economy - FUN!!!!
