Isn't it frustrating when, in a flash of brilliance, you coin a new term, then discover it's been done already? One of my (terribly lacking in skill) drawings of a man in splendid attire reminded me of a monster in dandy clothes. "He's dapper monster," I thought. "Dapper monster… He's a dapster!" The combination of two unlikely words is a favourite pastime of those in search of new words.
