I'll Give North A Try

A friend always checks the direction of her sleeping arrangement when she travels. She occasionally wakes up with headaches and in an irritable mood because her bed was angled in the wrong direction. According to her, your head should point in the opposite direction of the earth's magnetic field. The north is positive, similar to your head. Like repels like and since the earth's magnetic force is larger, that's a magnetic tussle you want to avoid. Iron in the human bloodstream is attracted to the north because of the earth's polarity. To avoid iron rushing into your head, science dictates sleeping with your head pointing to the south and feet to the north.

At first, I thought she said, "Sleep with your head to the north." Without checking the credentials of her theory, I decided to give north a try. I opened the most unused app on my iPhone - the compass, set it to 0 deg north and went to bed. Although the angle didn't suit the arrangement of other furniture in the room, my bed maintained this unusual, skewiff orientation for a few days. My sleep rhythms were disturbed and sporadic. I finally decided to research what I thought my friend had advised me. It turns out, my head should face the opposite direction. South! That's the direction my bed was before this experiment.

Now, I'm going back to south. Back to my restful slumber, awesome dreams and waking up feeling refreshed and energised.
