When A Six-Year Old Wants Cake...

    A few weeks ago, I posted a few pictures online, my cousin's kids in the process of making (what seemed to resemble) a cake. The oldest is six, the youngest a year and a half. Expectations were low from the start.

    Jah Jah knocked softly on the guest bedroom door. I had been up for a few hours, figured he was waiting to play basketball or cricket. He came in, jumped on the bed with his younger brother and they both proceeded to draw in my mini sketch book. The conversation turned to breakfast and then cakes (as most guy conversations do!) We decided to bake. So, I wrote, as the culinary imagination of a six-year old went to work. The result:
