They Should Stop Calling Them "Check-Out" Counters!

    The young, nerdy looking kid at the supermarket checkout counter asked my Italian flatmate if he wanted to buy points. He explained that these points would go towards educating young children all over Australia.
    "Do you have children? Can you imagine how they would feel if they couldn't afford computers?"
    My friend smiled at him. "I don't have children. In fact.. I am single."
    The guy behind the checkout counter took a step back, with a surprised look on his face and said, "Oh! I have a boyfriend!"
    The expression on my flatmate's face was worth a laugh as he told us the story.
