Maybe it's my innate constitution as a guy. I can't change the way I talk even around little kids with limited vocabulary. I pull faces and make caveman noises and actions instead.
Do I think it's cute when women do baby talk? When they start calling their men cutie pie, pooh bear or sugar daddy (haha, LMAO!) How do men ever put up with that? It's not totally unbearable and some women just can't help it. In fact - it's alright if a women does that with her baby, however old he might be ;) as long as it's not in public, with some element of humor, provided the man retains his manliness and doesn't resort to responding in like fashion.
There's a couple getting all cooey as I write this. Public affection is fine, but public baby talk?
Wish I could walk over and smack the guy on his big fat honey pot head :p
