I believe in making a difference. I'm an idealist but I don't force my values or opinions on other people, especially argumentative realists. It doesn't bother me that my city is filled with indifferent citizens, agents of environmental deconstruction (a blatant generalization, I admit) - as long as I do my bit.
What is my bit? A drop that registers nary a mark on the global perspective? The important thing, to me, is that I stick to my beliefs, rather than trying to change the beliefs of everyone around me. So, in pursuit of my utopia, I continue to read and research ways to curb environmental damage.
