The continued joy of wireless iTunes and Internet

If you've been reading my blog long enough, or, as some have admitted - read all my archived blog entries under the guise of "personal research", you may remember my ordeal with the Apple ibook. My HD went bust in the first month and I had to travel to Bangalore, only to find out that a reseller in Hyderabad could fix it. That ended well - my ibook hasn't troubled me since.

A year later, my Airport Express stopped working, a month out of warranty. I took it to the same guys and they said they couldn't help me. Frustrated.

I called up the Apple line and was the sweetest, most patient and cooperative customer this side of the Atlantic. Twenty hold minutes later, just when I couldn't handle anymore retro tunes, the lady comes back with six sweet words - I've got great news for you.

They agreed to make an exception. A few days later, I got a brand new Airport Express!
Still love Apple, still a Mac fan.

If you own an Apple product, it's best to get it covered for the extra two years through the protection plan. You pay a small amount before the end of the one year warranty period and relax for the next two years.
