As a kid, you assume that you will grow up with the same fantastic group of friends from grade 2, marry the woman of your dreams, live happily ever after. It is difficult for children to grasp the reality of space and time. As you grow older, some idealogies stick - in high school, most kids believe they will end up with successful corporate careers, meet the one and raise well-behaved children.
For most people these days, the ideal partner is not something you seek. You live your life around what pleases you and date at will. Chances are, you will eventually find someone you are compatible with and that takes care of one facet of life. If things don't work out, there's always a loophole. What most people don't realise is that as long as there is a loophole, you are not fully committed.
