The headphones never come off, the ipod's begging for a reprieve!

Jamie Foxx recently said that music these days has been taken out of the bedroom, into nightclubs. So true! Its no longer about Jodeci or Sade's soulful, make you wanna strip ballads, more about Lil Jon screaming, To the sweat drip off my b@#!$!

JF's album (Unpredicatble) is interesting. He writes about a woman who's concerned about her body image, post pregnancy. Anyone who writes songs about real issues - that's cool! Kinda like Chris Rock - funny shyte, but it makes you think of everyday issues that would otherwise miss your notice.

Someone once said that most popular songs are written around one of four themes:
  • I love you
  • I hate you
  • Don't want to be with you
  • Can't live without you

Still hooked onto Ben Harper's Both Sides of the Gun - fantastic! After listening to James Blunt, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall and Jon Legend to death, I'm going back to piano jazz. Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and some new stuff from McCoy Tyner and Keith Jarrett.

Time for that siesta. Headphones (check), comfy couch (check), cabin door (check), office deadline... well, that's the good thing about Monday - work can wait until Tuesday ;)
