It was not so long ago that I was raving about Macs and how I love my ibook. A month later, I'm travelling to Bangalore to get my hard drive replaced!!! Hopefully that fixes it and I can enjoy its full functionality soon. Its not fair to diss Macs just because I got a bad lemon, I still love this piece, despite the inconsistent freezes and trouble transferring large files.
Its such an innate and automatic response to make judgements on whole corporations just because you have one bad experience somwhere! We expect congruency in all facets of service right from our PCs, our TVs, microwaves, phones. If we paid, we should have no problems. Unfortunately, most things in life are not fool-proof. Even condoms come with a three percent chance of failure! Why then do we waste our time railing at non-tangible entities? I could whinge about Macs and this stupid ibook until I am made abject by my self-inflicted suffering. Instead, I choose to recognise the vaule presented in this machine and I'm gonna get it fixed and write another kick-arse blog about how I absolutely love Apple!
