| TREATMENT WE WON'T BE TRYING A Hong Kong spa is helping its customers lose weight by literally setting them on fire. The Asian beauty biz claims they can trim you down by giving you a massage before covering you in herbs and wet towels, and setting you alight. The manager of the spa has said, "It keeps you slim by detoxifying your body and by burning fat." But never fear, someone's kept on hand to put out the flames should they get too hot. Yep, that's sure to put any one at ease — not. Definitely not to be tried at home. We say, get off your butt and exercise! |
| MUST READ: THE YEAR OF YES Turn off your mobiles ladies and say no to dates ... but only while you read this fab new book: The Year of Yes. In this true tale, 21-year-old Maria from New York vows to say yes to every person who asks her out, no matter what their job (from a tradesman to a high-flying business man), what they do for a living (she dates a homeless guy) or what sex they are (yes, she tried turning lesbian). What follows is a year of hilarious dates that ultimately lead to marriage. Says Cosmo staffer and resident bookie, Stef, "You'll like this one if you've had bad luck with guys." And really, who hasn't at some point!? |
This leads me back to that conversation with a friend (earlier blog), where I asked her, "If you don't like a guy, why agree to go out on a date with him?". She wanted to get him off her back, but to any other guy, that doesn't make much sense.
I've never dated a woman I didn't really like, coffee - yes, but not a real date. So, if there is no attraction - why waste time? Hmmmm, on the other hand, why do most guys get so desperate? Cos ppl like Maria only exist in some remote part of New York???
